About The Event
EXHIBITION DATES: March 20 – 23, 2019
Opening Reception: Wednesday, March 20, 5-7pm
In the exhibition, (im)perfect piles, Fanshawe College second year Fine Art students present mixed media paintings and three-dimensional works completed as part of the curriculum in the three-year Fine Art Advanced Diploma program. Working with the idea of the ‘pile’, “a heap of things laid or lying one on top of the other”, they interpret this theme both figuratively and conceptually in works that range from a miniature still life of a pile of paperclips to large-scale sculptures that speak to abundance and waste in contemporary society.
